Hi everyone!
With so many good sales on lately and Spotlight having their VIP Night recently, I have been buying a lot of fabric!
I have also been getting into the Christmas spirit early by stocking up on festive fabric in time for Christmas.
Crepe
As I mentioned in my last post, I recently purchased the Violet Blouse pattern from Colette so I feel like these fabrics would make really nice tops. I have already started on my first Violet Blouse in the white floral fabric. I think the last three are all from the same collection, and I am loving the retro vibes they have!
Knits and Jersey
As you can probably tell, I love stripes, so of course I had to purchase these. The first is a very lightweight jersey, the second is a medium weight jersey and the last fabric is a lightweight knit.
Rayon
Lately I have been buying a lot of rayon because I have seen so many nice prints! I think my favourite is the middle print, I am thinking either a jumpsuit, perhaps the TATB Marigold trousers with a different bodice, or a maxi dress like the Sew Over It Florence. I am yet to make plans for the others.
Christmas
This year a new collection from Jocelyn Proust was available at Spotlight and I absolutely love it! All of the fabrics are Australian themed and so of course I had to get two of the Christmas prints, both of which are quilting cotton. I also purchased a red star print quilting cotton. My favourite has to be the birds though.
Cotton and Cord
During all of the sales I finally purchased 2 fabrics I have wanted for a while. The first is a Jocelyn Proust gum nut print in a quilting cotton, and the other a floral pinwale cord. I haven’t got set plans for either yet, but I definitely want the cord to be something that I can layer.
Let me know which fabric is your favourite in the comments, and if you have any ideas for what I could make out of these!
